Which test should I take?
Start with the level test if you are not sure where you stand. It adapts to your answers, takes about 3 minutes and places you between complete beginner and B2. You get a skill breakdown and a recommended next step at the end.
Take the A1 grammar test day by day while you are working through A1. Each of the 15 days checks exactly three grammar topics with 40 small tasks, and every answer comes with a one-line explanation. Pass a day with 32 of 40 points and move on.
The A2 grammar test works the same way across 13 days, from the Perfekt to subordinate clauses. If A1 already feels easy, this is your track; if a day feels too hard, drop back a level and close the gap. Your best scores are saved on this device, so you can always see where you left off.

Frequently asked questions
Are these tests official exams?
No. They are free practice and placement tools. For an official certificate you need an accredited exam such as Goethe-Institut, telc or ÖSD; these tests are good preparation for the grammar parts of those exams.
Do I need an account?
No. All three tests run entirely in your browser. Scores and progress are stored only on your device, and nothing is sent to a server.
In which order should I use the tests?
Level test first if you are unsure of your level, then the grammar test for that level, day by day alongside your course. Between test days, the free short stories give you reading practice built from the same course vocabulary.
